To Kill a Mockingbird
So I’ve always had a thing about the books I read and especially since starting this blog. This is because I favour books that are written for younger readers and books some people may scoff at. So because of this and also because I want to experience other books. Literary classics I guess is one way of putting it.
So This week I finished to kill a mockingbird. It was a little good book even though it was nothing like what I expected. The characters were really interesting and the story was really heartbreaking, very reflective of the time period it was set in. But it is just a series of events, I understand why some people may find it boring.
“They’re certainly entitled to think that, and they’re entitled to full respect for their opinions… but before I can live with other folks I’ve got to live with myself. The one thing that doesn’t abide by majority rule is a person’s conscience.” ― Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird
Me . You
I’m not really a huge fan of self help books but this is something different, it all feels so much more personal and it has really helped me in a difficult time.
I would totally recommend this book!
