The TBR Tag

So I have a confession to make, I have a very large TBR. Honestly there’s more books on that list than books I’ve actually read and it’s a little shameful… so I thought I would tell the whole internet about this! What better way to do this then with the TBR tag. I wasn’t tagged by anyone but I was just looking round the internet and thought this would be a fun thing to do. So let’s get started!

So how many books are on your TBR list?

There are 205 on my Goodread shelf and 50 of them are on my shelf. Of course there is some overlap between the two but I mean that’s still not good.

And how do you keep track?

Good old Goodread, always so reliable and easy to use. But I do just own some books already and I pick a book from random when I want something new to read. It’s working for me so fare.

Ebook or Print?

I mean this question doesn’t even need to be answered, if you’ve been on my blog for two seconds you know I am a huge believer in supporting print books. If I do read an Ebook it’s normally because I have the print book at home but it’s too large for my bag.

What book has been on your TBR list the longest?

The Witches by Roald Dahl. I know what you’re all saying, this is a children’s classic how could I not have read this!? But I just haven’t but I do want to. I love to read and collect children’s classics and picture books and so this is some that I’m looking forward to one day adding to that collection. I only try and buy books like this from the charity shop as it’s nice to give books like that a second home!

What book have you added most recently?

Heroes of Power: The Woman of Marvel by Christopher Hastings, Mark Waid and Jason Latour. I do know this is a comic but I still class it as a book, it’s something you read and can enjoy. As for this book, I first came across this on international women’s day (see my post about this here!) and it really interested me. I’m looking forward to reading it!

Gosh, look at that cover!

So I am such a sucker for things with beautiful covers, I’m such a cover magpie. When I was younger I used to stay at my bothers a lot and then when he started seeing his now wife he wanted to make sure I knew I was still important. So we would go book shopping a lot and this was one of the books I picked up. It’s the special edition of Alice in Wonderland by Charles Lutwidge. It’s a super intimidating book but I always tell myself that one day I’ll read it… probably.

Is there a TBR you’re halfway through?

So I am a huge series of unfortunate events fan, I literally have the symbol tattooed on me, and I wanted to read the prequel books too. Asking all the wrong questions was a little slower then the original series and didn’t hold my interest so I gave up halfway through the 3rd one. It is on my TBR list and I will finish it at some point.

What book has everyone else read but you from your TBR?

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. This was a book I picked up from a charity shop simply because people were talking about it, I really know very very little about the book itself. But maybe that’s the best way to go into a book sometimes?

So that’s that! I’m not going to tag anyone but if you do this tag please let me know on Twitter or Instagram, I love reading this kind of stuff myself!
